My Sister Ripped the Bridal Bouquet from My 10-Year-Old Daughter’s Hands – What My Girl Did Next Made the Entire Room Rise to Its Feet and Applaud

The guests laughed and made room for her wheelchair as she rolled forward.

Claire winked at Mia, turned around, and tossed the bouquet gently over her shoulder.

It landed perfectly in Mia’s lap. “I got it!” she cried.

I hadn’t seen her this happy.

Her whole face lit up.

Before Mia could touch the ribbon, Donna lunged in and snatched the bouquet. “Hey!”

Donna’s hip hit Mia’s chair, lifting one wheel.

“Mom!”

I grabbed the handles before she tipped sideways.

I hadn’t seen her this happy.

Donna raised the flowers over her head. “Looks like I won!”

“Are you serious?” I snapped.

The room went silent.

“You almost knocked her over.”

Donna shrugged. “She’s fine.”

Looks like I won!

I marched toward her. “What is wrong with you?”

“Oh, please.”

“Claire threw those flowers to Mia.”

Donna rolled her eyes. “Why does she need them? She can’t even walk down an aisle. Do you honestly believe any man will ever marry her?”

Someone gasped.

What is wrong with you?

I looked at Mia.

Her eyes filled, and I saw that old fear – the belief her wheelchair made her unlovable.

Then she wiped her cheeks.

My husband, Adam, grabbed my wrist. “Emily.”

“Let go.”

She can’t even walk down an aisle.

“Emily, you’re seven months pregnant.”

“And?”

“And prison orange clashes with your dress.”

“I’ll risk it.”

But before I could reach my older sister, Mia spoke. “Mom.”

You’re seven months pregnant.

I turned.
