“The spreadsheet,” she said.
“It could have been planted,” Diana replied.
“To force the warrants forward.”
“Yes.”
Seraphina looked between them.
“Why?”
Audrey’s thoughts came quickly now.
“To create confusion. To make the investigators move before they were ready. To place everyone in one location.”
“The wedding,” Diana said.
Audrey nodded.
“Three hundred guests. Executives. Public officials. Contractors. Family members.”
Seraphina went pale.
“You think the wedding was used to gather people together?”
“I think someone knew exactly who would be there.”
Diana took out her phone.
“I’m ordering full reviews of every guest and employee.”
A nurse stepped into the room.
“I’m sorry, but Mrs. Vale needs rest.”
Diana nodded.
“We’re almost finished.”
The nurse checked the monitor and adjusted the IV.
“Five minutes.”
After she left, Seraphina looked again at Owen’s image.
“Where is he?”
