“What are you doing here?”
Vanessa walked toward us.
“You told me you had everything under control. You said Chloe would believe the baby was a boy, your father would release the money, and then you would file for divorce.”
Chloe stared at her.
“You knew about this?”
Vanessa hesitated.
“I knew about the inheritance. I didn’t know he was going to humiliate you like this.”
